Through the provision of political advice and peace-building support, Stratagem International has supported the Forum for Cities in Transition since its inception in 2009.

Through the provision of political advice and peace-building support, Stratagem International has supported the Forum for Cities in Transition since its inception in 2009. Seeking to convene and support political leaders, policymakers and opinion formers in divided and conflict affected societies, the Forum meets annually and undertakes programming  to facilitate learning and address shared challenges and opportunities. Member cities include: Baghdad, Belfast, Derry-Londonderry, Haifa, EastJerusalem, Kaduna, Kirkuk, Mitrovica, Mitte (Berlin), Mostar, Nicosia, Ramallah & Sarajevo. SI has provided political research & analysis, technical expertise and supported programming (eg. training, professional exchanges). The programme has helped leaders share expertise on conflict resolution and social cohesion between cities, as well as provided opportunities for shared learning and peace negotiations between conflicting parties.
